About PJ’S Janitorial Service, Inc.

Founded in January, 1984 as PJ’s Janitorial Services by James Hubbard, Ed Dokes and Perry Jeter. The company began operations as a full service contract cleaning company. The company was incorporated in July of the same year. As the company evolved during the first year of operations, the initial threesome was reduced to one. James Hubbard became the sole owner of PJ’s.
As the company grew, James Hubbard quit his job at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. to keep a closer watch on the business and to perfect the floor cleaning operations. By 1990 both James and his wife Barbara were full time employees of PJ’s Janitorial Service, Inc. That year PJ’s expanded the operation to include selling a complete line of Janitorial, Foodservice and Restroom supplies and equipment.
During the last 25 years, James and Barbara have not only committed to the serving of PJ’s customers but, also being involved in community service clubs. Their leadership skills have been used on various boards and committees such as Steubenville Kiwanis Club, Urban Mission Ministries, Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce and Jefferson Community College.
